How To Make Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a large mixing bowl combine melted butter, cocoa powder, and espresso powder then whisk in brown and white sugars, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until fully combined. Avoid overmixing, this can leave too much air in the batter creating a cake-like instead of a fudgy brownie texture.
- Now fold in the flour, salt. and milk powder then evenly pour the batter into a well greased 8×8 brownie pan.
- Now for the peanut butter swirl. First you’ll need to soften the peanut butter by microwaving for about 30 seconds, stopping and stirring in 10 second intervals.
- Combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and almond extract then dollop the mixture on top of the brownie batter.
- Use a toothpick or a butter knife to swirl the peanut butter mixture into the brownie batter. Don’t overmix or the mixtures will blend instead of creating a swirl.
- Bake for 25-28 minutes then allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about an hour.
- Slice and enjoy.
