Makes 10 Mummy Rice Krispie Treats

What You’ll Need

  • Saucepan
  • 8×8 Baking Pan

How To Make Mummy Rice Krispy Treats

  • First, melt the butter and marshmallows together in a saucepan. Once the marshmallows have fully melted mix in the rice cereal, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Remove from heat and ensure that all the rice cereal has been evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture then transfer to a well greased or parchment paper lined 8×8 baking pan.
  • Once the mixture is fully set, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Allow the chocolate to cool slightly to avoid melting the rice krispy treats but not completely (chocolate hardens as it cools).
  • Cut the rice krispies into bars (you should have about 10). Drizzle the white chocolate onto the bars to form the “bandages” then place the candy eyeballs, using the chocolate as glue.
  • Allow the chocolate to set and enjoy.

Tips

  •  When melting chocolate in microwave, do it in 10 second burst. This will avoid burning. Add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or other neutral tasting oil to loosen chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. If refrigerated, allow to them to come to room temperature before eating.
