  • White Sugar— 1/2 cup
  • Cornstarch— 1/2 teaspoon
  • Browned Butter— 1/2 stick
  • Baking Powder— 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking Soda— 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1 Egg
  • Vanilla Extract— 1 teaspoon
  • Espresso Powder— 1 teaspoon
  • Chocolate Chips— 1/2 cup

How to Make Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • First, preheat the oven to 350F (177C).
  • Next, combine the cooled browned butter, egg, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Add in flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, espresso powder, and salt then fold into the batter.
  • Now, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and form cookies using about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie. Place the cookies on the cookie sheet allowing space for them to spread.
  • Put the cookies in the oven to bake for 14-16 minutes then allow them to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
