- Butter (1 cup) (browned)
- Vegetable Oil (1/4 cup)
- 3 Eggs +1 Egg Yolk
- Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)
- Flour (2 1/2 cups)
- White Sugar (1 cup)+(1 tablespoon)
- Baking Soda (1/4 cup)
- Cream of Tarter (1/2 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Cinnamon Sugar (1 teaspoon)
Streusel
- Flour (1/2 cup)
- White Sugar (1/2 cup)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Butter (1/4 cup)
What You’ll Need:
- 8×8 Brownie Pan
- Two Mixing Bowls
Recipe
- Make streusel
First we’ll be making the streusel topping. Place butter in the freezer 5 to 10 minutes before preparing streusel. Once butter is chilled slice into small pieces and use fingers to work in flour, white sugar, and salt until streusel forms. Set streusel aside but be sure keep refrigerated so the butter doesn’t melt.

- Mix wet ingredients
In a large mixing bowl combine browned butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

- Mix dry ingredients
In a separate mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and sugar. Then sift into wet ingredients combining both mixtures.

- Layer Coffee Cake
First prepare cinnamon-sugar by combining a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Pour half of coffee cake batter into brownie pan lined with parchment paper then sprinkle an even layer of cinnamon-sugar. Finish off with rest of the batter and top with an even layer of streusel.

- Bake
Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 35 minutes; enjoy!
