Get ready to spin some sweet Halloween magic in your kitchen with these Cinnamon Sugar Coated Spider Doughnuts! They’re spooky, scrumptious, and oh-so-fun to make — the perfect treat for Halloween parties, bake sales, or a festive weekend bake. Each doughnut is soft, fluffy, and coated in a sparkling layer of cinnamon sugar that gives every bite a cozy, fall-inspired crunch. And the best part? They’re decorated to look like adorable little spiders! Don’t worry — they’re the kind of spiders you’ll actually want to eat.

What I love most about this recipe is how simple and playful it is since these doughnuts are baked and not fried. When they come out the oven they’re brought to life with chocolate legs and candy eyes for that perfect creepy-cute vibe. They’re a huge hit with kids (and honestly, adults too!) and make your Halloween dessert table look like something straight out of a bakery window. How To Make Halloween Spider Doughnuts
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, almond and butter extracts then fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Coat a 12 well doughnut pan with cooking spray then use a pipping bag to fill the wells about 3/4 of the way to the top.
- Bake for 27 to 30 minutes then allow the doughnuts to cool.
- While donuts are cooling prepare the cinnamon sugar topping by combining the cinnamon and sugar. Dip the doughnuts into the cooled melted butter then evenly coat them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Allow the doughnuts to set on a wire cooling rack until dry.
- Now for the decorations. Carefully separate the Oreos then place one in the middle of each doughnut cream side down.
- Now use the black writing gel to draw the spider’s “legs” then use a small dot of the gel to secure the candy eyeballs onto the Oreo Cookies.
