
Yup, it’s that time of the year again. So grab those old decorations because Halloween is right around the corner. Halloween was always a big deal in my family, we a had a huge costume party every year. What better way to kick off the party than yellow cupcakes? (That was a rhetorical question of course).

Everybody loves yellow cupcakes! They’ve been the star of every party and gathering for ages. A party just doesn’t feel right without yellow cupcakes. Don’t go to a bakery (or worse use a boxed cake mix) when you can just make them from scratch.

I know making yellow cake from scratch may seem like a daunting task to some people. But I guarantee that if you follow this recipe you can get through it without breaking a sweat! These cupcakes are the perfect blank slate. You can decorate them any way you want and even make it a fun project for the kids. This yellow cupcake recipe will make about 12 cupcakes.

Ingredients:
- Cake flour (2 cups)
- All purpose flour (1 cup)
- Greek yogurt (2 cups)
- White sugar (1 1/2 cups)
- 4 eggs
- Vegetable oil (1 cup)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Baking powder (2 + 1/2 teaspoons)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
What you’ll need:
- Muffin tin
- Cupcake liners
- 2 mixing bowls
- Measuring spoons
- Measuring cups
- Halloween themed cupcake toppers and wrappers
- Cookie scoop
Recipe:
Step 1
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.

Step 2
In a separate bowl combine eggs, yogurt, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.

Step 3
Combine wet and dry ingredients (be careful not to over mix).

Step 4
Line muffin tin with cupcake liners then then fill using cookie scoop.

Step 5
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees; bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 6
Allow cupcakes to cool then decorate.
