Christmas baking always feels like a pause button. The oven warms the kitchen, spices fill the air, and suddenly the season slows down just enough to enjoy it. Gingersnap cookies are one of those recipes that signal the holidays right away. The smell alone brings back memories of decorating trees, wrapping gifts, and sneaking a cookie (or two) before dinner. When you cut them into Christmas tree shapes, they turn into something even more special—part dessert, part decoration.

These Christmas Tree Gingersnap Cookies are soft and chewy, deeply spiced, and sturdy enough to decorate without losing their shape. They’re the kind of cookie that looks impressive on a platter but doesn’t require complicated steps or fancy tools. Whether you’re baking with kids, prepping treats for a party, or filling holiday cookie boxes, this recipe keeps things simple while delivering big flavor. Warm ginger, rich molasses, and just the right amount of sweetness come together in a cookie that tastes as festive as it looks.
