Banana Foster Hand Pies

  • Two bananas
  • Brown sugar ( 1/4 cup)
  • Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Nutty caramel dessert seasoning (optional)
  • Pre made pie crust
  • 1 egg

How to make banana foster hand pies

  • Prepare banana foster filling

Cut bananas into one inch thick slices. Cook them down in a medium sized skillet with brown sugar (1/4 cups) and cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon). The banana foster filling will take about five to seven minutes to cook down on low heat. Once its finished, transfer to a large mixing bowl and mix in about of our nutty caramel dessert seasoning for a more robust flavor.

  • Make hand pies

Cut pre made dough into squares about three inches long on each side. Place about one to two tablespoons of banana foster filling onto one square then cover with another. Use a fork to make indentations around edges.

  • Bake

Before putting the hand pies in the oven prepare an egg wash (mix an egg with a table spoon of water). Brush top of hand pies, completely coating with egg wash. Pre heat oven to 350 and bake for about 15 minutes or until hand pies are golden brown. Allow them to cool and enjoy!
